Product description

Water ingress can have many causes: Damaged seals, porous hoses, a leaking drain, a leak in the fresh water tank etc. To be fully protected in all situations, we recommend our water detector.

It reliably detects water ingress and protects your motorhome from damage.

Reliable alerting

When the sensor comes into contact with water, the water detector immediately sends a signal to your WiPro III (safe.lock) alarm system, which then alerts you. If a Pro-finder tracking system is also installed, you will additionally receive an SMS alert notification on your smartphone.

This means you are warned in good time before small leaks turn into costly damage.

Waterproof housing with click-on mounting

To install the water detector, simply attach the mounting plate supplied to the desired location using two screws. The waterproof water detector is then simply clicked into this mounting plate.
The actual water sensor with a cable length of 30 cm is led out of the housing and offers a practical screw-on option at the end.

This means that the water detector itself can be installed in a dry area, while the sensor is positioned where there is a risk of damage.

How long do the batteries / button cells in the radio components last?

You can generally expect to be able to use them for about two years. The number of transmission signals does not affect the lifetime as much as long cold periods do.

The radio components use standard button cells (type CR2032). These button cells can be stored for up to ten years (refer to label). However, the button cells should be replaced every two years in order to adhere to the warranty conditions (the manufacturer offers a 2-year warranty against leakage).

We recommend to use Panasonic batteries.

In order to remind yourself to replace the batteries in time, we recommend to change them, for example, with every vehicle inspection and/or gas inspection.

If the battery is running low (<2.6V), the control unit issues an acoustic signal (for two seconds) when triggering the radio component and the red LED of the transmitter only turns off after about 30 seconds. If one button cell is weak, it is best to replace all of them.

What happens if the battery in a wireless component is nearly dead (signal tone sounds for 2 seconds when component is actuated)?
If a 2-second-long signal tone is emitted by the alarm system, a taught-in accessory part requiring a battery change was actuated immediately before that. This is also indicated by a 30-second-long visual signal on wireless magnetic contacts and radio cable loops.
Occurs:
- when wireless magnetic contacts on doors/windows/hatches are opened/closed
- when remote transmitters and conversion boards are actuated (‘remote controls’)
- when the cable loop is used in the holder
If a wireless accessory sends an alert, the other button cells are probably just as old. A complete change is recommended. Please take button cells to a battery recycling centre or collection point. They can be recycled there.
