You can expect to be able to use them for about 2 years. Factors such as the number of transmit signals do not affect the life as much as long cold periods do.
Standard CR2032 button cells are used for the wireless components. These button cells can be stored unused for up to 10 years (heed label). However, the button cells should be replaced every 2 years according to the battery warranty (manufacturer providers a 2-year no-leak guarantee from the time of first use). We recommend the use of brand-name batteries (Panasonic, Varta, Duracell etc.).
Memory aid: Replace the batteries, for example, with every vehicle inspection and/or gas inspection.
A weak battery (< 2.6 V) is indicated by an acoustic signal (5 seconds) on the central control unit triggered by the wireless component and a visual signal (the red ‘transmit LED’ only goes out after about 30 seconds) on the transmitter. If one button cell is weak, it is best to replace all of them.
The quick guide to changing the batteries is available for download in our Support section.
