• Can I install the WiPro myself?

  Professionally skilled people are quite capable of installing alarm systems themselves. However, when it comes to connecting to the CAN bus, special expertise, increased precision and the right tool are required. Only through installation at a garage can you be certain that the function will be retained over the long term and you are not endangering your environment or jeopardising the vehicle warranty. • Why is Pro-finder not responding to my commands?

  Counter-question: Was the Pro-finder already enabled to do this with a programming text message?

  This has to be done first. Without the appropriate programming, it does what it is supposed to do – ignore ‘foreign’ commands.

  If programming was done from the app and you didn’t receive a status report afterwards, the SIM card was probably already in the device before it was activated by the provider. In that case, the Pro-finder must be disconnected from the power supply for 5 seconds in order for the SIM card to log in again. Then the power supply should be restored. After about a minute, you should be able to get a response.

• Why does Pro-finder respond to status queries, but does not communicate any alarms from the connected WiPro?

  If the connection cable between the devices was plugged in on both sides (i.e. mechanical cause can be ruled out) and the WiPro status (‘WiPro off/on’) actually appears in the first line in the status reports, then presumably the wrong prepaid query code was used or, if a contract card is used, a query code was entered. Then the Pro-finder is stuck in a loop in an alarm situation, of all times, until it receives a negative response from the provider.
  Please correct the programming! Feel free to use the Thitronik app for this.

• To which gases does a gas alarm respond?

  Our gas sensors detect propane, butane and the entire range of anaesthetic agents / narcotic gases. Accordingly equipped, G.A.S.-pro and G.A.S.-pro III also detect carbon monoxide.

• How can you test a gas alarm?

  Please, not with a propane gas bottle! And methylated spirits or similar are also not suitable, but can even damage the sensor head. A test can be safely carried out with a commercially available lighter and should even be carried out regularly. Simply blow out the flame on a lighter with electronic ignition.
