Additional sensor for G.A.S.-pro III

Both the bottled gases (propane/butane) used in the leisure sector and the substances used in narcotic gas attacks are heavier in gaseous form than air, meaning that they initially collect at the bottom of the vehicle.
A corresponding gas sensor should therefore always be mounted below the sleeping areas in/on a vertical surface. About 10–30 cm above the floor is the right height. In this way, you will have enough time to react in an emergency.
If the space is divided by curtains or sliding doors, a further gas sensor or standalone gas alarm makes sense.
Please ensure a sufficient distance from the sensor to heating outlets and gassing batteries in each case.

In contrast, CO sensors are preferably mounted as high as possible. Close to the ceiling is optimal.

Our gas sensors detect propane, butane and the entire range of anaesthetic agents / narcotic gases. Accordingly equipped, G.A.S.-pro and G.A.S.-pro III also detect carbon monoxide.

Gas alarms are often said to be prone to false alarms.
Gas sensors also respond to cylinder gas- or narcotic gas-like substances in certain concentrations. Therefore, technically speaking, there are no false alarms; it is just that possible causes are not linked to the device:
deodorants, aftershave, harsh cleaning agents, bodily gases (especially from our four-legged friends) or even alcohol on the breath or fondues can by all means cause a sensitive gas alarm to go off.

Despite the temperature compensation, the continuous self-tests and the intelligent software evaluation of the sensor measurements, sometimes a false alarm cannot be ruled out.
The reliability in an emergency comes first:
It’s better to have an alarm go off one too many times than one too few.

Just the right mounting height simply filters out only ‘bad’ gases (i.e. false alarms) decisively.

In an attack or break-in attempt with narcotic gases, chemicals from wholesalers are frequently used. Chloroform or aether are known, but substances, e.g., from the production of plastics are also used. They cost very little in large containers there and are rarely subject to identification.

The liquid chemical passes via an injection cannula through rubber seals or mechanical ventilation vents into the interior and evaporates there at room temperature to form a gas mixture. This fills the vehicle from the bottom up and puts people staying there overnight in a half-asleep state.
This half-asleep state allows intruders to apply a much higher level of noise and still remain undetected.

Please, not with a propane gas bottle! And methylated spirits or similar are also not suitable, but can even damage the sensor head. A test can be safely carried out with a commercially available lighter and should even be carried out regularly. Simply blow out the flame on a lighter with electronic ignition.

Please check the wiring using the connection diagram and the terminal designation on the main board. If the sensor cable was extended, please also check these connections.

This is possible up to a total length of 8 m. Please use cables of the same (3x0.14²) or larger cross section and ensure a reliable connection.
