• My alarm system has suddenly stopped working – what could be the reason?

  If your vehicle's alarm system suddenly stops working (for no apparent reason or after a workshop visit) or if it only works to a limited extent, this may be due to a software update that was carried out in a workshop or automatically on your vehicle.
  As a consequence of this software update, the vehicle may have been reset to the factory settings or or the update may require that certain settings are made again.

  The required steps depend on your vehicle type:

  • If your vehicle is a Ford Transit 2019+:
    Then the alarm system requires the switch lock to be deactivated on the onboard computer. If this deactivation setting has been reset by the software update, you have to make it again manually on the onboard computer.

  • If your vehicle is a Fiat Ducato 8:
    Then the functions "Indicators flash when locking" and "Doors are unlocked when exiting" must be activated on the onboard computer. If these settings have been reset by the software update, you must make them again manually on the onboard computer.

• How can I make the required settings on the onboard computer of my Fiat Ducato 8?

  Please proceed as follows:

  On your onboard computer, select the "Settings" menu and then "Doors and locks". In this menu, activate the two settings "Unlock door when getting out" and "Flash hazard warning lights when locking".

  

  Note:
  If these menu items are not displayed on your onboard computer, the WiPro III safe.lock is unfortunately not suited for your vehicle.

• How can I deactivate the switch lock in the onboard computer of my Ford Transit 2019+?

  Please proceed as follows:

  In your onboard computer, select the "Settings" menu and then "Vehicle settings". Under "Vehicle settings" you will find the menu item "Switch lock". Deactivate the menu item "Switch lock".

  

  Note:
  If the menu of your onboard computer does not display this menu item, the WiPro III safe.lock unfortunately is not suited for your vehicle.

• After inserting my new SIM card, I keep receiving SMS messages from Pro-finder – what could be the reason for this?

  You are probably using a card from the provider beachSIM. These cards currently do not work with the Pro-finder.
  When you insert a new SIM card into the Pro-finder, the Pro-finder sends an SMS message with a status query to your smartphone.
  Due to technical reasons, the beachSIM card cannot process this query and hence does not send a reply to the Pro-finder.
  As the Pro-finder does not receive a confirmation, it keeps sending further SMS messages with a status query to your smartphone every minute.
  beachSIM is currently working on this problem. Until a solution is found, SIM cards from beachSIM can unfortunately not be used with the Pro-finder.
