Device combination: G.A.S.-pro III with additional sensor (propane, butane, anesthetic gases)

When using a G.A.S.-pro III (item no. 101286) in combination with the external additional sensor (item no. 101289), the sensor analysis/sensor error analyis might not function properly. In order to solve this, a free software update from Thitronik is required.

We want you to feel safe at all times. For this reason, we are recalling five batches/serial numbers of the gas warning device G.A.S.-pro III in the version for propane, butane, anesthetic gases with item no. 101286, if it is (intended to be) operated in combination with the external additional sensor for propane/butane/anesthetic gases (item no. 101289):

This applies to all G.A.S.-pro III devices with serial number 1286-008 to 1286-012 (sold between 01.01.2023 and 14.02.2024)


We kindly ask you to check whether your device combination is affected:

 

1. Check your invoice

Please check the THITRONIK® products on your invoice.

Are both of the following items listed on your invoice: G.A.S.-pro III (item no. 101286) and additional sensor (item no. 101289)?

No? Then your device does not need an update.

Yes, both items are listed.


2. Another way to find out whether or not your device combination is affected

Are the two THITRONIK® products G.A.S.-pro III (item no. 101286) and external additional sensor (item no. 101289) mounted close to the floor of your vehicle?

Yes, both products are mounted no more than 20 cm above floor level.

No, at least one of the two products is mounted just below the ceiling.


3. Check the serial number of your device

The serial number of your G.A.S.-pro III device can be checked quickly and easily.

Where do I find the serial number?

It takes less than 2 minutes to open the housing and check the serial number: Release the bracket by pressing a pointed object (toothpick, pen, pencil) from both sides into the little holes of the housing of your G.A.S.-pro III.

 

The serial number is located on the back of the device. Carefully turn the device towards you and check the serial number, but please do not remove any cables!

The following serial numbers are affected:

  • 1286-008
  • 1286-009
  • 1286-010
  • 1286-011
  • 1286-012
